No. You can view the website and all it's content without the need to sign up. You can also share memories, send condolence, and add photos, without signing up. If you sign up to Lifetimes you have the additional benefits of bookmarking Tributes, receiving anniversary reminders and sharing memories, without the continuous need to enter your details.
Lifetimes website is free to browse and share memories, send condolence and add photos. The only applicable charges relate to the creation of a new Tribute.
Click on 'Tributes' in the menu bar. Click, change region, and a drop box will appear to make your selection.
Just enter their name in the search box at the top on the home page, and click search. You can refine your search by using the date of passing and/or the region. From your results you can sort matches by alphabetical order or date of passing to help locate an individual quickly.
They may not have a Tribute. You can create your own Tribute for them, or suggest to other family and friends about the creation a Lifetimes Tribute.
You can follow us on Twitter as we post all new notices here. If you are not on Twitter, we recommend you visit our site frequently to view the latest notices. We are always improving our website and will ad an updated 'alert me' feature soon.

We believe Lifetimes should be your first choice, however some people still browse the newspaper. You may want to write a short notice for the newspaper, at a minimal cost, informing people to visit the Tribute on Lifetimes.co.nz for additional information.
Lifetimes is policed by the community and each Tribute has a button to report inappropriate content. This content will be immediately removed for the Tribute curator to approve or delete. If you believe someone has created a false Tribute, please contact us immediately for further investigation.

You can pay for a Tribute online via credit card, otherwise view our directory to contact the nearest Funeral Director who can help.
Our Legacy Tribute offers the added features of a Memory Book and Galley for family and friends to share memories and add photos along with the ability to personalise the theme of the Tribute.
If a 'Legacy Tribute' has been created for your loved one, you can send a message or add a memory in the Memory Book. This is then viewable by family and friends.
Within a Tribute click on the Funeral tab. This will inform you of the funeral service details if they have been published.
By clicking 'Share a Memory' in a Legacy Tribute you can share a memory for everyone to view.
By clicking 'Add a Photo' in a Legacy Tribute you can browse from your own photo library, and upload special images to the tribute.
Yes. If you bookmark a Tribute, you will receive an anniversary reminder email two days before the day of remembrance.
By clicking 'Share a Memory' in a Tribute your are effectively adding or signing your name, letting family and friends know you care. You can additionally incorporate a message of condolence or a memory.
Yes. When you are viewing a Tribute there is a Bookmark button in the tool bar. By bookmarking a Tribute, it will appear in your bookmarks box when signed in. Please note you are required to sign up to bookmark Tributes.
Yes. The Tribute toolbox has buttons to share with facebook and twitter. There is also a button to effortlessly forward the Tribute to family and friend's email addresses.
Yes. In the Tribute toolbox you'll find a button to print, enabling those without internet access an opportunity to view the Tribute.
Only our 'Legacy Tributes' have a Memory Book and Gallery with the ability for family and friends to share their own memories. A 'Lite Tribute' does not have these features. The curator (ie the owner) of the Tribute may allow others to enhance the Tribute adding these features. Otherwise anyone can create a new 'Legacy Tribute' allowing other to share memories.
Yes. Anyone can create another Tribute for a loved one that has passed. For instance, work colleagues may decide to create a tribute in addition to an immediate families private Tribute.
Simply click on the 'Create a Tribute' button on the home page and follow the instructions.
Yes. Lifetimes is designed for New Zealanders. If you are from New Zealand but want to create a tribute for someone overseas, we still offer this service for you to honour and celebrate a loved ones life.
Yes. You can create a tribute for your loved one even if they passed away before you were born.
A Tribute is looked after by the curator, who is usually the person who purchased the Tribute. They can edit the obituary, funeral tabs and the overall theme of the Tribute. The can also approve and delete content reported by any user.
If you are the Tribute curator (ie. you purchased the Tribute) you can change the theme. Once logged in you will be able to edit the Tribute theme along with all your other editable features. Only the 'Legacy' Tributes have this feature.
Each Tribute has the curator shown along with the Funeral Home, if there is one attached. If you click on the curator name a contact box will appear to forward your message.
